What do I need to prepare for the Home Training Program?
Firstly, a laptop is essential. It is needed to run the Neurofeedback program. We will install the program into your laptop before you come for the Home Training Certification course. Minimum laptop requirements are:

• 32 bits Operating System
• 2.0 GHz Intel Pentium / Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo
• 1 GB Ram
• Graphic Card - Dual montior capability (Nvidea), at least 512 MB Ram
• English Vista / XP operating system
• Resolution:1024 x 768

Secondly, you may need to have an additional monitor (resolution : 1024 x 768) to be used as the game screen for your child. You may also want to purchase a gamepad.

What about the electrodes, earclips and gels?
All these can be purchased from us.

What is the cost of the Home Training Program ?
You can kindly contact us for more information. You can choose to rent or purchase the Brain Trainer Set.

What is the cost of the Home Training Certification Course?
The cost is $800.

Can I do the Home Training Program without taking the Home Training Certification course?
No, The course seeks to equip parents with the adequate knowledge to carry out effective Neurofeedback training with their children at home.

It will cover:

• The basic theory on Neuroanatomy,
• A brief review of some relevant research
• Hands-on training
• Topics concerning the biological factors such as heavy metals accumulation will also be touched on
• Parents will also be taught how to observe and take notes, as well as to assess the progress of the training.

What is my role as a parent in conducting the Neurofeedback training at home?
We understand that as a parent, taking up Neurofeedback may mean having to learn many new terms and skills. But this is can be the start of an exciting journey. After all, this can mean seeing more effective and long-lasting changes during the course of the training! We will be here to assist and equip you, so that effective training can take place.

Some essentials for parents:

• Basic knowledge on Neurofeedback. The Home Training Certification Course equips you with the knowledge and skills.
• During the course of training, observe any changes in your child, such as changes in behavior or ability to complete a task. Note them down in the Therapist Log.
• Come down for a Review Session with us after 1 month.
• Lastly, constantly liaise with the therapist and keep us updated on the progress of your child. Contact us if you need any assistance during the whole course of training. We will be glad to help you.

When will the review of the training take place?
Scheduled reviews are a major feature of the Home Training Program. They are done after 1 month of training is completed.

What will the Review session cover?

A Review Session will include:

• A review of the child's training charts
• Feedback from parents on changes in client
• Review training protocols. Future protocols are also set.
• Reassessment of parents' practical skills
• Updating of software
• Checking of electrodes & BT set, if they are working well

What is the cost of the Review session?
One review session costs $90.

Can I do Neurofeedback on myself if I am the one doing the Neurofeedback training?
It is advised that another person, such as a family member is trained to do Neurofeedback. This is so that they can help you set up the Brain Trainer and electrodes, as well as monitor your brainwaves, while you focus on the training. Thus should you be the one doing Neurofeedback training, ask another family member to take part in the Home Training Certification together with you so that they are adequately equipped to do the Neurofeedback training for you.
